Console Connect has become the first platform to be certified under Mplify’s (formerly MEF) expanded Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) API Certification Program.
The certification recognises Console Connect’s achievement in validating four of Mplify’s key LSO Business APIs – Address Validation, Quote, Product Order, and Product Inventory – ensuring they meet strict standards for conformance and interoperability.
This milestone places Console Connect at the forefront of advancing global network automation, and highlights the platform’s ongoing work to help shape the next generation of Network-as-a-Service (NaaS).
What is the LSO API certification?
The LSO API Certification Program is the industry’s only initiative that verifies open APIs used for automated, multi-provider service delivery against established global standards.
By achieving certification, providers like Console Connect can prove their APIs deliver:
- Interoperability – ensuring seamless communication between different systems and providers.
- Conformance – meeting strict specifications and removing the risk of costly custom integrations.
- Scalability – enabling on-demand, cloud-like services at global scale.
In short, it is a trusted, third-party validation that APIs are production-ready, eliminating a major barrier to automation in the telecoms and ICT industries.
Mplify’s LSO APIs are the operating system for multi-provider automation,” said Pascal Menezes, CTO, Mplify. “This certification program removes integration friction, builds trust at scale, and provides a clear on-ramp to global NaaS. Console Connect’s leadership demonstrates what’s possible when innovation aligns with open standards.”
Why standardisation matters
Today, more than 165 service providers worldwide are adopting Mplify’s LSO APIs, signalling strong industry momentum towards automation-ready ecosystems. But without certification, differences in implementation risk undermining interoperability.
Standardisation is key to unlocking the future of networking:
- It removes friction from partner onboarding.
- It accelerates automation across complex, multi-provider environments.
- It lays the foundations for real-time, on-demand services – the hallmark of NaaS.
As the network API market is forecast to reach $300 billion in connectivity and edge revenue over the next 5–7 years, ensuring these APIs work seamlessly across providers will be critical to capturing that value.
Mplify’s LSO API certification provides a trusted path to interoperability, streamlining integration and reducing time-to-market. It acts as a powerful signal in the carrier ecosystem where complexity and transaction friction can keep you from being competitive, while creating a stronger value proposition for all stakeholders.”
What Console Connect is doing
Console Connect has not only become the first to be certified, it has also helped to pave the way for others.
To accelerate adoption of Mplify’s standards, Console Connect developed the LSO API Adaptor, an open-source tool now available on GitHub. The adaptor simplifies integration between proprietary systems and standardised APIs, allowing providers to fast-track adoption without writing additional code or disrupting existing workflows.
This achievement marks two significant steps forward for Console Connect:
Advancing API standardisation – By aligning with the latest Mplify standards, Console Connect is strengthening the foundation for greater interoperability and enabling automation to scale more effectively across the ICT ecosystem.
Driving practical adoption – The release of the open-source LSO API Adaptor helps remove integration challenges for other providers, making it easier for the wider industry to embrace standardised APIs and move towards fully automated interconnection.
Our latest certification with Mplify represents two major milestones for Console Connect. Firstly, it shows our ongoing commitment to standardized APIs which are fundamental to increasing scalability and establishing a more collaborative, API-driven connectivity model. Secondly, it demonstrates how our LSO Adaptor can help other service providers simplify integrations between proprietary systems and LSO APIs, further accelerating industry adoption of network automation,” said Paul Gampe, CTO, PCCW Global.
Additionally, this certification is a step towards building a future where:
- Network services are orchestrated end-to-end.
- Automation is the default, not the exception.
- Businesses can consume connectivity and digital services in real-time and on-demand.
