This growth gives customers even more options to directly and securely [connect to Google Cloud Platform](https://www.consoleconnect.com/clouds/connect-to-google-cloud/) (GCP) from strategic data centre hubs in key international markets, helping enterprises simplify and scale their direct access to GCP wherever they operate.

New GCP locations include:

- Johannesburg, South Africa - Teraco JB1
- Madrid, Spain - Digital Realty MAD2
- Amsterdam, Netherlands - Equinix Amsterdam Schepenbergweg (AM5)

## Why these new GCP locations matter

Each of these new locations represents a critical regional touchpoint for businesses building multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

- **Johannesburg** joins the network following [Google Cloud’s 2024 launch of its South Africa region](https://blog.consoleconnect.com/whats-new-with-google-cloud-for-2025?hsLang=en-us). Google stated that the new region will “accelerate the African tech ecosystem, providing organizations with the resources they need to scale, innovate, and compete in the global marketplace.” With Console Connect’s new on-ramp, businesses across Africa can now directly connect to GCP via a secure, high-performance global backbone.
- **Madrid** is a major European connectivity hub linking Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and marks Console Connect’s first Spanish Google Cloud on-ramp. It offers low-latency access for Southern European users while enabling compliance with local data sovereignty requirements by keeping sensitive workloads and data within national borders.
- **Amsterdam** continues to be one of Europe’s most strategic data hubs, offering strong infrastructure, renewable energy access, and proximity to major enterprises and internet exchanges. This makes it ideal for businesses requiring high availability, sustainability, and compliance.

## Built for reliability and performance

Connect to Google Cloud with speed and resilience. Console Connect’s Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform is engineered for high availability, providing multiple redundant paths across its own [global network](https://www.pccwglobal.com/services/network/) to ensure predictable performance and business continuity.

As a Google Cloud Interconnect Partner, Console Connect extends enterprise-grade reliability to both private and public Google connectivity options.

- Offers redundant physical paths across its private backbone for consistent low-latency performance.
- Ensures high-performance, low-latency routes between enterprise sites and Google Cloud regions.
- Meets Google’s strict high-availability and performance standards for cloud connectivity.

## Simplifying hybrid and multi-cloud strategies

Modern IT environments rarely exist in a single cloud. Console Connect makes it simple to connect Google Cloud to other major providers, including [AWS](https://www.consoleconnect.com/clouds/aws-direct-connect/), [Microsoft Azure](https://www.consoleconnect.com/clouds/microsoft-azure-direct-connect/), and [Oracle Cloud](https://www.consoleconnect.com/clouds/connect-to-oracle-cloud/), all through one platform.

This seamless [multi-cloud integration](https://www.consoleconnect.com/clouds/) allows enterprises to:

- Run workloads across multiple clouds for better performance and redundancy.
- Optimise cloud-to-cloud traffic through low-latency interconnections.
- Manage all connections in real-time from a single intuitive portal or via API.

For businesses embracing hybrid cloud architectures, Console Connect also enables secure, software-defined connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and Google Cloud services – supporting dynamic workloads and digital transformation initiatives.

## Fast, flexible, and secure connectivity

Through the Console Connect portal, users can instantly provision and manage Google Cloud Interconnects on-demand, eliminating the delays and complexity typically associated with traditional network provisioning.

Whether you’re scaling globally, deploying new workloads, or optimising latency for end users, Console Connect gives you:

- Instant provisioning through a self-service platform
- Enterprise-grade security and encryption
- Integrated monitoring and analytics for complete visibility
